Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a copy of your insurance card and photo ID (Parent/Guardian Photo ID for client under the age of 18). If you are the non-biological guardian of the child, proof of guardianship/custody is required.
At your first appointment you will be provided with forms to be completed and signed. If you would like to save time, please feel free to click below to access the forms. These can be pre-filled out and brought to your first appointment!
Is my insurance accepted?
Our office accepts most major insurance plans to include medicaid plans as well as private insurance. We recommend if you have a private insurance through your workplace that you contact your insurance to determine eligibility for behavioral health care. Each plan is different and we encourage you to find out your specific coverage with your insurance company.
For those that are not currently covered through insurance or who have an out of pocket cost for treatment, we offer self-pay options that are designed to fit all financial situations. We believe that the cost of treatment should not impact your ability to access services.
What can I expect from therapy?
Our practice believes that therapy should be tailored to who you are and what you need when you walk through our doors. Our therapists use a variety of different approaches to meet our clients “where they are at.” Our therapists hope to promote a safe space of acceptance and understanding while you work together to meet your individual goals. We additionally encourage the involvement of parents, guardians, and support persons so that you feel supported throughout the therapy process.
What if I can’t make it in person?
Healing Minds Therapy, LLC understands that things happen! If you can not make it in person to your appointment we offer telehealth options for your convenience, or we are happy to reschedule to a time that works better for you.
